Another milestone achieved for the nation: Brunei Darussalam’s 34th National Day
The joyous day began with the arrival of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the rest of the royal family. Additionally in attendance were the Cabinet ministers and other senior government officials. To commerate the event, the national anthem, “Allah Peliharakan Sultan” was played, and the inspection of the guard of honor.
The event highlights His Majesty standing at attention acknowledging the parade contigent, representatives of 138 multisectoral, societies and government agencies in Brunei, an inspiring oath read by 46 oath readers, the utterance of three takbir of “Allahu Akhbar” echoing the venue and the dance performance by participants including youths from the education sector throughout the nation. Her Royal Highness Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah led the final group of the parade alongside Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Bahar. The event was concluded with the national anthem sung and performed by the choir and the assemble. As His Majesty the Sultan and members of the royal family departed the area, the field performers gave a final patriotic salute with “Daulat Tuanku” to showcase their spirit, love and respect to Brunei’s monarch, its tradition and heritage.
