Experience the flowers at the first-ever Brunei International Flower Show.

With the theme ‘Brunei in Bloom”, the first-ever Brunei International Flower festival was officially launched on Wednesday, 23rd October 2019. The event was graced by Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha. The event was held in conjunction with Her Majesty’s 73rd Birthday.

International countries such as Thailand, Taiwan and China were present to showcase their country’s beautiful flowers and floral arrangement. Not only that, local florists establishment such as Neptune Florist and the Bloom Project was on hand to feature their own flower bouquets for the public to watch or buy. 

To further enliven the event,  local artists showcase their flower arts during the launch, showing their creativity by drawing various types of flower illustrations from paintings to arrangements.

During the festival, other than experiencing over 100 flowers at the venue, there are various activities that are open to the public. Some of these are a photo contest, garden talks, farmer’s market and even fun quizzes that will help to attract more people to the event and gain more knowledge about flowers in the country.

“Brunei International Flower Show will hopefully become an annual event within Brunei tourism Calendar of Events and eventually become a prestigious event that attracts a large number of participants from local and overseas floriculture companies,” said the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Hj Ali Apong.

The main objective of the event is basically to pull more tourists to travel to Brunei and to promote the floriculture in the Sultanate.

The Brunei International flower Festival 2019 will be held until Sunday, 27th October 2019 at Rimba Garden Central (RGC). Be sure to not miss the chance to join in the activities and learn more about the flowers available in Brunei and even International countries.
