Seasons Fair 2021
Families were treated to an exciting week of activities and showcases when the Seasons Fair: Family Fun week was held from 15 to 20 June at the OneCity Shopping Mall. The retail exhibition featured a variety of fun activities, lucky draws with prizes worth up to BND3500 and a plethora of retail lifestyle vendors.
Seasons Fair: Family Fun was organised by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCC) BSB Brunei and had its grand launching Friday, 18 June with Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, the Minister of Home Affairs, as the Guest of Honour.
The event boasts over 30 different local family-oriented exhibitors, hosting activities in addition to offering special discounts and promotions for their goods and services. The variety of booths was astounding; the CCC’s Women’s Division had a booth to showcase their handmade goods crafted by its members. There was even a booth that made custom Chinese calligraphy posters! The organisers did put a lot of effort into making sure that the exhibition was both entertaining and insightful.
Some of the activities held was a children’s colouring competition, a “Guess the Flavour” competition held by The Potato Habit and a new product showcase from Concepts Computer, providing a good variety of vendors that patrons at every stage looked forward to. There was a diverse range of vendors specialising in childcare and baby products like Ohana Crib who had their goods on display and there were sharing sessions on parenting topics too; OT4Kid’s Vanessa Liew and ITF Physio’s Cheryl Keasberry hosted a seminar on Understanding Children’s Developmental Milestones.
While the expo did begin at the start of the week, things kicked off when the weekend started. One of the biggest highlights was a national record-breaking attempt held on Sunday for “The Most Number of People in Red at An Event” with over 111 participants. Not to mention the lucky draws that were happening throughout the event!
Seasons Fair: Family Fun was a successful family-themed event that was a great addition that caters to Brunei Darussalam’s emerging market. The next iteration might be worth looking into if you’re interested in seeing what Brunei has to offer for families.
